Thank You, I know a lot of people might not listen to the voiceover. The whole point of the story was to point out that a lot of pharmacies give away Naloxone kits for free. Having one on hand if you ever come across someone in crisis can be the difference between this story, or a happier one. Thank You for reading.
That’s one thing to ponder. I live in a city and they give away Narcon kits for free so we have them in case we come across an overdose victim. Folks that live out in the country, way out there where Police and 911 can’t help you for hours at least. They probably aren’t getting access to free Narcon kits. But I bet you fentanyl is still in their little towns and villages, striking people down.
The free narcon kits seem like a very sensible measure being taken where you live. I haven't heard of anything similar in the UK or Europe. All one can do there is hope for those afflicted that the paramedics arrive on time 😥
Not trying to sound bad. Where I live people line up on the sidewalk outside pharmacies for their weekly methadone doses. People shoot up in plain view in public. The first time you step over someone out cold on a sidewalk it feels pretty weird. After a while - it is what it is. I feel bad for not knowing first aid, all I can do is carry Noloxone in case someone knows how to use it on someone. I wish this wasn't going on though.
That's not sounding bad and it's the same for me. All I've ever been able to do is call for help, I'm much too hesitant to perform first aid and would never administer anything for fear of doing something wrong. It's horrible in many places, but one has to accept there's only so much one can do.
I just learned Noloxone is Narcan. Thanks! I would never have known about any if it had my friend not told me the story I talked about in the voiceover.
That was a tragic story well expressed. thanks for sharing mate!!!

Well that is well understood as i did think the voice over was the post in words. Appreciate you mate!!!
Sad reality. This was a good read
Yes. Thank you for your comment and Thank you for reading.
A sad story, yet bitter reality on the streets of so many cities...
Thank You for reading.
It's not just an urban problem, is it? Just easier to spot on a city street.
Of course, I think I just referenced cities because I've spent most of my life living in urban areas. Addiction is prevalent everywhere.

Did he have to die… thanks for keeping it real. Most authors shy away from that.
If only I'd remembered my Naloxone kit.
Thanks for reading.
Love the sense of the self-filling prophecy intermingles with all of the cycles in this hungry city. Could almost feel the vibrations throughout.
Thank You for reading.
Sad but so well described! I guess we should all carry Narcan around these days, just in case.
